We don’t feature much electro music here. It is not because we don’t like it or think it doesn’t have a place here, on the contrary, we believe that if something merits a mention then it should get it regardless of the genre. There simply isn’t enough good, fresh, original electronic stuff out there at the moment in need of a mention, and generally little coming out of Austria.
Think how delighted we were when we started listening to the music sent to us by Qback, a german electronic musician living in Vienna. Finally something electronic, new and largely unheard of, and with a fairly large smattering of originality as well.
The tunes lean heavily on the electro sounds of era when fashion was questionable, computer games were pixelated and their soundtracks were just plain awesome.
